Roller Top Adhesive

Will Threadmaster Ultimate Gel Structural Epoxy Adhesive work well for gluing on a roller top on a 50lb tuna rod?

I wasn't sure about using the standard, melt with a lighter tip adhesive for such a heavy line class rod.

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

I usually use the 5 min epoxy. The 5 min that I have of Threadmaster is great for the tip. If you use the structural long set epoxy you might not be able to get the tip off if you ever have to. But it will sure do the job. Scott

Thanks Scott. How's the fishing in Moorehead? I spoke to you for a while at the High Point show.

I just snaped a nice calstar blank at the 3-4 roller on a big ono (wahoo) I used it to catch many fish including blue marlin the tip was attached with adhesive so it was easier to remove & save and I've never had a tip fail with adhesive on 30-80 class.
