I know it say's 15 min. But how long do you have to wait before it is safe to work with something. I am glue up acrylic parts and it is my first time using it.
Thanks for the help. Alan Re: setup time on 15 min ultimate gel

Well the answer seems to be about 1 1/2 to 2 hours for cutting and working with the band saw. I think that I might want a little longer say 3 or 4 before I would start turning. But am not sure on that. Again this is on acrylic.
Andy may I say WELL DONE! Give you just the right amount of working time and sets up strong enough in a time frame that will alows you to get things done. I also like that it is a little thicker paste. I was able to get a nice even thin layer. I LIKE! Re: setup time on 15 min ultimate gel

It should always set up in about the same time regardless of the material you're using it on. But temperature will affect the set up time. Warmer - short, cooler - longer.

Alan,
It's safe to actually fish with a rod built with the 15 in about 20-25 minutes. As for gluing acrylic parts to be turned, I would wait 45 minutes or so just to be safe, because when you turn something you build up a lot of heat that could potentially wreak havoc with the cure cycle.
