122. Re: Spot Finish?
Bruce,
How did the repair take? It sounds to me like you had a reaction to contamination known as a fish eye. If you still notice a circle in the third coat you should let it completely dry, scuff the entire wrap and pay special attention to scuffing the depths of the fish eye, wipe with DNA and recoat. I was having this issue with Flex Coat lite, not on the first coat but on the second coat. I

123. Re: invoicing
I had a build compenents and pricing invoice on a spread sheet but I wanted numbered, duplicate invoices so I just bought a standard blank invoicing pad. I just describe the end product as they would in a catlogue i.e St Croix SCIII 9' spinning rod. Since I don't keep an inventory, at least from a business standpoint, of compenents so if I were ever audited I can pull the customer invoice and mat

124. invoicing
Just wondering how you invoice a rod to your customer.
Do you list every compenent used in the build or just describe the finished product?
I dont keep an inventory of compenents other than thread and epoxies.

125. Re: Question on FET
There is a rod builders hand book decribing all the FET regs but I cant comprehend it. I believe it states that the end product gets taxed 10% or $10.00 which ever is LESS but there are no provisions for that on the 720 form. It would cost me more for an accountant to prepare all the forms than I make on sales. Here's a couple numbers for you. Jack Brown 231-932-2057 or Freda George 636-255-1320.

126. Re: Composite Cork
What is a water-break free surface? Being in the automotive repair field for 30 years I know you never refinish over a smooth surface, you never put body filler on smooth sheetmetal. It all needs scuffing for the material to "bite" on.

I just mixed some flexcoat lite for the first time and as far as viscosity goes I didnt notice a big difference from the highbuild. I'm hoping I bennifit from the longer pot life because I'm a slow finisher....pun intended. I have diluted my high build with rubbing alcohol and it was quit thin and laid out beautiful and hardened fine but I was using a scrap blank. I don't want any trouble though
