My friend, just finished wrapping some Batsons size 4mm guides on his lime colored rod, he used lime thread and silver trim, he didn't think that the guidses feet would show through that clearly, so, is there any way he can cover those guides feet, with the same color? so that the feet will not show through.?

Tom, you've got me wanting to try the u-40, so i just ordered me some, I'll have to compare it to the Diamond 2 brush cleaner, I'm sure that both are good cleaners, I just need something that will clean PG off of the brush. Thank You! '

I really don't know, but, thats one thing I will certainly have to do, is subscribe to the RodBuilders mag. Thank You! I have noticed on those factory rods like St Croix, they look like they have like a thin epoxy finish, cause it's different then the ones that are finished with like Pg or LS, and sometimes a lot smoother! I wonder what do they use, an epoxy with a thinner and a hardener?

I was looking at my ST.Croix rod, it has 9 plus tip and it is only a 7' rod, and they are not micros, but they are those nickle titanium guides which is light and one of the main reasons I had bought the rod. and it hasd a really good at the hook set, I had hook plenty of bass with that rod, its a med, fast and also got a med heavy, both do a great job at hook sets, so like you said it to the b

My friend broke his Castaway 6'6", 2 inches above the reel seat, trying to take the seat off, using pliers, how would sleeve, I really don't know what to call it, its to hold the 2 parts together, then I would wrap it, maybe with a tiger wrap, and hope that it will hold, he is really to busy to work on it, so i thiought I will give him a hand.

I was just thinking, after the tiger wrap, and decorative wrap on front of reel seat, it wouldn't matter so much, and that will I got them i might as well put them on, I will do the static test, and make up my mind. I probably will just keep them for next rod.

Thank You.

Yep, then on the 3rd coat it finally got some on the rod, I'm thinking maybe I should of used a smaller square of an piece of foam, I really soak the foam, I think I used more then I should of to make sure it stuck, but after three try's I think it's as good as it will get, not as smooth as the factory ones I have, but I'm almost out of Lumiseal, any suggestions on what I should do next, should

I tried the rod on the dowel and poke a hole throught the 4" by 3" foam part of a foam brush, it worked on one rod but when I got to the other and tried the same thing, the Lumiseal would not stick, so i tried lightly scuff with a scotch pad, and to no avail, would someone give me any ideas or solve this problem for me, PLEASE!
