the St.Croix 8'6" premier XH muskie blank has a 9.5 tip dia. , how would you guys go about putting micro guides on it with a tip that big ??? would you just use a running guide as a tip top as others have suggested in other micro guide topics ?? this rod will have 25-40 lb. line on it and will be throwing 5-17 oz. swimbaits on it . i should of said this in the first post , this rod is gonna

since i want to use a blank that is , i believe , not suitable for micro guides , can i benefit from using smaller guides on a swimbait rod (gonna be built on a St.Croix 8'6" xh premier blank ) . any suggestions would be appreciated , thanks !!!

i was the one who said that about getting a blank , i talked to Rick Quade , he is the one who said he would sell me a blank . he also also said the company doesn't usually sell blanks cause they are made in china and they do not stock them or have any of them here in the U.S , but he could get one , it would take 90 days to get cause they have to get them flown in . so give him a call at Reactio

anybody using these things , if so , how do like them , do they lay flat when folded closed , are they sturdy , do they get in the way of the line , and lastly , where do you mount them ( oppisite side of the reel or on the side ) ??????

get one of their blanks (musky inovations) , call up reaction strike , speak to Rick Quade and ask him to sell you a blank or two , he will tell you he has to get them from china and it can be up to 90 days before you receive it ...

i was refering to the FUJI ACS , i want to use thisreel seat exclusively on all of the rods i have made , wether it be a medium powered casting rod or another swimbait rod made off a muskie blank !

then that opens the uses of this reel seat to any rod that i want !!! i have been thinking i would be limited cause of the butt dia. of the blank i want to use has a dia. of 0.720 , i think that because i want the handle to be 18" , it would work out to be 0.700 or less at that point in the blank . is that a fair guess ??? if it isn't , i could have a few inches cut off of the butt of the bl

i really want this reel seat on my swimbait rod i'm gonna have built soon , it is gonna be built off a St.Croix 8'6" xhf premier blank , the blank is .720 at the butt , but by having the bottom of the reel seat up the blank 18"-19" (that's what i want the handle length to be ) will it be feasible to ream out (take down some of the rib material ) of a 17 mm FUJI ACS . has anyone don

they say that zirconium rings are equal to sic rings , what are you guy's thoughts on it . seems like these are a better alternative if they are !!!

should i use double footed guides or can i use sigle footed running guides ? the rod will be spiral wrapped and the rod is gonna be used for swimbaits up to 16 0zs. gonna use a Revo toro winch 51 , gonna use 25-40 lb. co-poly line . any comments are welcomed ...

was wondering how these guides are , i want to possibly use these on a rod i want made using a St.Croix premier 8'6" xhf muskie blank ( i am gonna use it for throwing BIG swimbaits . the guides i'm looking at are the Double Black Chrome Stainless Frames with PVD Blue TiO Zirconium Rings . i have two other swimbait rods made on forecast blanks and American tackle ringlock "h" guides

i have 2 rods built on rainshadow blanks , one rated for 2-6 oz. lures and the other rated for 3-8 oz. lures . both have moderate fast tips and i'm looking for a fast tip . i think i'm just gonna have to go ahead with the muskie inovations bulldog muskie blank , the "super magnum" . but first i will look into the Calstars , thanks everyone !!

was wondering if anyone has seen any muskie rod blanks that can handle BIG baits ??? i want to use this rod for throwing really big swimbaits . i have only found Reaction Strike muskie rods like the "super magnum" (rated for 4-16 oz. lures) but i would have to wait 90 days after purchase to then receive the blank . anyhow , if any one can help , id really appreciate it , thanks
