I personally cannot stand the spring type hold downs. Even on my FlexCote finishing machine, I went ahead and modified with a slightly stronger spring. Both of my wrappers have the slide type top rollers

Make sure you size the seat appropriately with the OD where the seat will fit so that you have enough wall thickness for the recessed ends. I just go done doing a couple of 18's and 20's due to the Blank OD

The size of the seat for a 10wt is not different for a freshwater rod than it is for a saltwater rod.

The current 8wt I have on the bench will have a TLNSG 16 and 12, 1 TLSG10, and the balance TLSG8's, as well as a solid titanium reel seat

I made it, all it is, is a piece of rod blank with masking tape making it progressively larger and then epoxied over to maintain the shape. I have several different sizes I made to correspond to some different Butt OD's of the blank

I fail to see how someone can do single turn trim and insert wraps by using a power wrapper. At least I have not been able to achieve it in over 40 years

Stainless steel is not rust proof, it is "corrosion resistant" and will rust in corrosive environments over time. However, stainless steel will corrode at a much slower rate than chrome alloy steel.
