91. JB Weld
I need to glue a ferrel back on a bamboo rod that came loose and don't trust
my 5 minute epoxy due to the slop after cleaning it up,
Has anyone used JB Weld before and if so is this a good alternative?

I personally use RooClear Glue and I really like it ... 5-6 drops in 2oz of water and you have

Tom ... I found the problem ... The "Subscribe" button on the side works. I was trying the one on the bottom

Thanks Bill ... since I'm still learning this hobby and the wife
frowns on me ruining a $75 dollar blank (it's ok for the dogs
or the grandson to puke all over the carpet) I'm always
looking for ways to illiminate my tendencies to error.

That's why the last thing I do is put the reel seat on. I do the guides and then when I'm ready I'm so
annul I put a reel and line on the rod and string it up to make sure

I don't know who (Tom?) to give credit to for the following but I'm pretty sure it came off this site.
You cannot apply finishes to many woods in the rosewood family, as they are so highly resinous that nothing ca

This may be off topic and if so I apologize before my hand is slapped.
Does anyone know if there are any plans around in how to make a
hex rod tube?

While I'm also impatient depending on what part of the country you live in you can speed up the process.
I put the green blanks in a zip lock bag and leave them on the dash of my truck. In Tucson it usually
worked in a couple of weeks.
I'm in Idaho/Wa area now and haven't tried it yet as I've not unpacked my lathe.

None that I know of ... if I get too much glue I just clean it up with a wet paper towel.

I've tried Future floor wax but not cork sealer.
My latest adventure is using "ROO Glue" and specifically "RooClear" as a CP. This is a water based Melamine and Vinyl adhesive.
I got a 16oz bottle at woodcrafters for under $6 I believe and I have a lifetime supply <G>
I add 5-6 drops in 1oz of water and it has become the best CP I've ever tried.
