1591. Re: Bill Boettcher
Hello Bill
Looks GOOD, I was thinking of doing one myself.
The main problem I am faced with is that mine is using more threads instead of less threads and keeping the first ones on while I apply the rest.
I was thinking of using a coat of rubber cement butt what would that leave(color) after epoxy?
But I will keep trying.
Like I said, Looks GOOD, keep on truckin.

Hello to All
I'm just giving an opinion on a possible fix and not trying to push any morality on him, that is strictly up to him.
I would tell the customer just what happened and ALL possible fixes and let him or her decide what they want done it's thier nickel and your bad.
Good Luck.

Hello Everyone
I did my experiment last, but with 5 sets; #1 the rod I was originally working on was wrapped on both ends and coated with CP, #2 was without any coating, #3 was coated with CP only, #4 was sprayed with Fixitif dryed then CP, #5 was sprayed with Fixitif and let dry.
All showed signs of curling at the edges, worst were the ones with CP, the one with nothing were the best overa

Hi Aaron
You could cut it off at either 1st or 2nd guide, find a scrap tip with about the same action and slide it inside the broken top and put your guide back on over the repair and no one would know.
Good Luck

Hi Scott
Thanks for the quick response.
I have been using the waterslide labels but my fingers are thick and it is hard to work with the waterslide labels I keep streaching them and the background color cracks and they don't look good after that.
Sometimes I crinkle them up and that is even worse, these labels done on the PT-2100 go on easy I just hope the epoxy won't pucker or curl them up,

1597. Labels
Good day to all
I just bought a Brother PT-2100 Lable maker and made some labels with it, went to put them on and thought do I need CP on these things?
Well I hit the search but could not find anything on the subject (probably not asking the machine the right question) and not being computer literate find that I need some expert advice (or at least informed).
Do I need to put CP on These

Hello Bill
Is that one of those cat-nip thingies with a suction cup on one end and the loop on the other to tie the fake mouse stuffed with cat-nip?
Thanks.

Hello Everyone.
I am building a rod for my brother and plan on doing the trims in Viking colors but I am not sure what colors to use.
I thought to run a yellow-gold under wrap under just the guide, a white trim, then over the yellow-gold a purple (or is it a blue?) then reverse it on the other side of the guide, so when you look at it from the side you see white, purple (or is it blue?), yell

Hello Mike
If it is a BT 8020 it is a 8' 12-25lb with a lure wt of 1/2-3oz, fast action, tip 7, butt 0.780 blank wt. 7.5.
I got one too, but have not built it yet. (working on a Seeker GTS 60XH).
Have fun and keep em tight.

Hello Everyone
Thanks Barry, Bill and Sean, all good advice, I will play with it and see what I like.
I have put some different types of arbors on, but to fill in takes a lot of epoxy on some rods.
The grip thing sounds interesting, and not as much epoxy, if I can't find one the right dia. I could just turn it down to fit, again interesting.
Thanks Again Guy's.

1612. Slick Butts.
Hello everyone
I am going to build using a slick butt, but I am wondering how you people (Guy's & Gal's) bush the slick butts up?
They seem to be tapered so a 1 piece bushing will not work well, what types of bushings and procedures do you use?
Thanks for any and all help.

Hello Everyone
I just got back today,(stopped at my Father's place and then to my Mothers).
Had fun at the flea market and got some good deals and a good bit of education but still need more so if Tom has another one you can bet I'll be there, even if I have to leave early like this time, but I hope to stay longer next time.

Hello Armando
If you use a wonder weaver or some other weaving device they might be hard to do with the guides on, depending on butt guide placement and so on, I'm not sure about the dec wraps maybe Billy or one of the more experienced guys will chime in on that.
Good Question
Thanks
