I believe Billy`s comments are dead on! This thread is actually a luminous metallic which is very unique looking. Our hope was that surf fishermen or night fishermen could use it on rod tips but I am extremely concerned that it will need to be "recharged" too often and might be a pain in the neck for fisherman. We sold some of this thread at the Expo to test the market. We are intereste

Tom, FishHawk Threads will be willing to help sponser a custom rod exhibit at the 2009 ICRBE Expo if such an event were made available to custom rod builders. We believe the custom rod builder is the heart beat of our industry and we received tremendous value in participating in the 2008 ICRBE. It is important to us that the 09' event takes place. Is such an event possible? Many Thanks,

I must also say that "Uncle Russ" builds a prime rod. I picked up one of his Calico Creek Rods at The Expo and baptised it this weekend at the NC coast. The blank was ideal for punching my popping cork and D.O.A. into a stiff wind. I truly enjoyed fishing with it and I am thrilled with my purchase. There is nothing quite like fishing with a custom rod!

FishHawk Threads would be happy to host a meeting at our plant outside of Charlotte if you all do not mind the drive. We could discuss the manufacturing of rod winding threads and everyone could evaluate new possible products and participants could leave with samples.

Bob, Thanks for checking out our site. We do have a tremendous amount of (B) thread in stock which is A.H. Rice branded Nylon in both bright and dull (no color perservative required). The smallest cone we have in stock is 10,000m but we will be happy to wind it down for you in whatever packaging you require. ****Our plan moving forward is to support (A) and (D) nylons but if there is a market

Thanks for all the feedback!! We are thinking of adding a new line of glow in the dark metallic thread. I do not want to add it to our line if it does not glow well due to the epoxy finish or other factors. I will have a few samples at the show if anyone is interested in trying it out. I would certainly appreciate some "real life" feedback. They will be at the FishHawk booth. Thanks,

Do any of you folks see a need for a glow in the dark thread? I thought it might be cool to wind it on the tip of a surf rod. Any thoughts?? Thanks, Robbie FishHawk Threads

Scott, I will have some Gold metallic, size D in a 1000m cone, possibly a 450m spool as well. It will be at the Fish Hawk Threads booth. The brand of thread will either be FishHawk or Rice...not Gudebrod. I hope that is OK. I will also hook you up with a FishHawk hat...on the house! Many Thanks, Robbie Smith Fish Hawk Threads
