Hello Jerome, FUJI NSG guides (Sic) are not necessary for mono line, use BNLG (hardloy) or BMNAG (alconite) guides. Hardloy are the cheapest, second Alconite (the best compromise) and Sic (the double of price than Alconite).The frame of Alconite is more resistant than NSG. I use 14 lb (0,35 mm) mono line on my reel and 40 lb snag leader (0,60 mm;33 feet/10 mètres of length) without problem

Hello Jerome, I'm french too, I have a carp rod (12 feet 3,5oz-4,5oz) that I rebuilt for myself. I used FUJI BMNAG Alconite guides (30 25 20 16 12 10 10 and 12 top) with this spacing: Reel seat to the 30 guide: 100 cm 30 to 25 guide: 42,5 cm 25 to 20: 32,5 cm 20 to 16: 30 cm 16 to 12: 27,5 cm 12 to 10: 25 cm 10 to 10: 22,5 cm 10 to 12 (top): 20 cm The lowriders guides are only
