I need a ride also but won't be getting to Greensboro until 5:00. I'm staying at the Embassy Suites. Anyone want to share, I understand that at minimum it's a $50 fare. Don I just hooked up with a ride thanks for consideration.

Don't let them go to the landfill!!!!!! Reel parts are always needed. Offer them to a repair shop you may get a few bucks for them if not give them the parts. Somebody somewhere is always in need of repair parts. Don

You can turn all of them backward by hand but if you have to backup that far you will probably have to wind thread back onto the spool by hand turning the spool. The Renzetti has a thread tension spring that will allow you to slightly reverse the rod direction while maintaining tension on the thread without turning the spool. It won't wind thread back onto the spool. Don

If the ID of the reel seat is 15mm It probably won't fit the blank with a .645in butt. Finding another blank to meet your specs so you can use your 15mm reel seat isn't the way to go, get a 16 mm reel seat. A 15mm reel seat is too small to be comfortable in most adult hands anyway. Don

Jack, Butt size is the diameter at the end of the blank. (.645 converted to mm is16.38) If you place your 16mm reel seat the usual 12in (or there about) up from the butt it will fit. Don

The closest I can get to Winston-Salem by air is Greensboro and the Embassy Suites doesn't have a shuttle service. They recommended "Door to Door Transportation Company" so I called them to discover that it's $100 round trip. It's ironic that the round trip air fare from Hartford, CT to Greensboro, NC is $400 and a round trip car ride from Greensboro to Winston-Salem is $100. I'm reall

I have a Renzetti and a Pac Bay. Didn't like the Pac Bay so I got the Renzetti. The Pac Bay is fine if you're on a tight budget and not going to build a lot of rods but as with any "budget" item there are limitations and manufacturing shortcuts. The CPW looks like a big improvement on the Pac Bay, it's also a big price jump (@ $500). But for $200 more than the price of the CPU you c

Don't be fooled, Sears is blowing smoke in our faces!!!! The Rikon, Craftsman and the Scheppach saws are all identical except for the paint job and the prices. If you are going to buy one of them get the one that you can buy for less $$$$$. Roger, Your email link didn't work. This is the link; or google carter products. The 10 inch saw isn't listed but if you call they will help you get the one that you need to fit the 10inch saw (be sitting when you hear that they are $179) Research how the rollers or blocks have to be adjusted in relation to the blade and you can check out the demo saw at the store to see if the on

I have one and found two limitations with the saw that I couldn't live with but I'm very particular and expected much more than what I paid for. The roller guides wouldn't adjust close enough to the blade to keep it tracking straight so I replaced them with a set of Carter roller guides. (They cost nearly as much as the the saw) The miter guide is really sloppy and there is no aftermarket guide t

I would cut from the butt. Removing 4 inches from the tip will make noticeable changes. Have someone hold the tip and you bend the rod from the butt then hold 4 inches down from the tip and bend again and you will get a feel of what the cut will do. Don

Kevin, My 8oz TM has flat top caps, not the pointed pour tops. If your bottles have flat tops all that you need to do is drill a small hole in the cap so that the flex coat syringes fit tightly into the hole. No need to chase down the Yorker caps. Don

I use flip up magnifiers over my bifocals. I tried the lighted magnifying lens but hated it because either the work or the lens had to be moved each time the work area moved out of the focal point. Long wraps were out of focus at the ends if the focal point was at the middle of the wrap. With the flip ups the focal point follows your head over the work. Don

If you can afford (and want) the best available get the Renzetti. It has flaws (imo) but nothing major. The Pacbay is fine for a lot less $$$. If you opt for the Pacbay at least get a chuck upgrade, the Alps chuck is the (imo) best. Don
