If I turn my grip on the lathe then drill a recess with a dremel, I have no problem making even grips where the recess is centered. ’ll ream the grip, then dry fit to the blank where the seat is and mark the recess on the grip. Quick question, I have a fly seat that a size 16 arbor fits into without needing to shave anything off the diameter. It’s just barely small enough that if I dropped it into the reel seat it would fall out the other end. A size 17 is too big so I would need to shave it down. The problem for me is I always have trouble evenly shaving down those arbors perfectly so sometimes one end of the arbor is

I have been in contact with north fork composites/edge rods as I made my stupidest mistake (so far) as a rod builder. I ruined a butt section on a gamma beta rod blank. I have been in contact with you guys regarding purchasing a new butt section and everyone has been super prompt with returning emails. I even received a return phone call after NOT even leaving a voicemail. You guys are a gem!
