I'm building a spinning rod for 17# mono using the NGC system for spacing. I'm a little confused. when I use the online Anglers resource guide placement soft ware it says the 3rd guide should be a 7H. Is it ok to use 5.5 for the choker and runners? Do you think they are too small or should I go with the #10 choker and running guides? Thanks

I have an NFC- OG ICFA130 blank. The butt section OD is 25.15mm and my EVA grip ID is 19.05mm. Can you ream EVA like cork? Or do need a larger ID on the eva? The EVA wall thickness is approx. 5mm

New builder here. I'm building a Lamiglas BMB842F salt water rod for a friend. He purchased the carbon fiber grips and I need to ream them out. The problem I'm having is with the foregrip. The carbon fiber wraps around the ends are to narrow for the blank. If I ream out the foam I will hit the fibers. I'm not sure what to do. Should I get a different foregrip or is it ok to ream it? I have the Proof Czech rod. I purchased 2 blanks from proof and built one for me and the other for a friend. I have not fished mine yet, however he has fished it and really likes it. From my understanding the Proof is designed as a Czech rod. Call Matt at Proof. He knows what he is talking about and is easy to get in touch with.

I'm going for my first attempt at ghost wraps on a Blue Halo 3wt. I have a question regarding threadmaster lite and adding denatured alcohol to thin it for these wraps. I'm in California and denatured alcohol is illegal due to its VOC. Can I use Acetone or paint thinner instead? I'm concerned that the wraps won't be clear if I use a different chemical to thin the Threadmaster. Thanks
