31. Custom stickers
Edit: Sorry for Post. Just say the Decal connection sticker post below. I used search feature, but was putting in stickers instead of decals. DERP.
Where do you all get the custom made stickers to put onto rods. I am not talking about a sticker of a fish or something, but instead, like a shiny/holographic stenciled sticker that reads XX's custom Rods, and phone number, or city, state, etc.

Anyone here ever used the hydrographic dip method to a rod blank? Will it hold up?

Thanks for the replies. I found some youtube videos, which used the masking tape method, so this doesn't look to difficult now. Thanks!

About to build first rod, and gathering components. How do I determine what Reel Seat size to purchase, especially if I dont have blank on hand at the moment.
Also, If i will be using on a 325-500 gram Jigging Rod, is a graphite reel seat acceptable, or should I go for all metal? Will be used exclusively in salt water.
Thanks!

Is wrapping thread the same as sewing thread, or can you use sewing thread? Reason I ask, is my mom owns sewing shop, so I have access to probably 3000 different colors and wholesale pricing. If so, I will hook you all up if I can.

When installing EVA rod grips, should I order the size closest to my butt size, or should I order size smaller and ream? Basically the blank I will be using is 0.572" diameter, and I can get the EVA grip in 0.375" or 0.500". Which is the better choice? Will the 0.500 stretch over, or will both require reaming?

Wow, those look awesome. Very nice job. I like the grips also. Is that an American Tackle product also?

39. Rod Blank Advice
I am wanting to build a Heavy Duty saltwater jigging rod. I currently have a Shimano Trevalla TFC-58-XXH, 50-200lbs, that I love. I have read up on this forum and others, that the Shimano rod rating is a little exaggerated, and that rod blank manufactures, tend to be more conservative. Well, I love these Trevala rods, so I want something similar in performance or better. I pair the rod with Shim

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and Rod Building, this is my first post. I have decided to take up the hobby of Rod building, and need some advice on what equipment to get. Here is what I am planning on doing.
- I will probably make 4-5 rods this year, then 1-2 rods each year after. I am not going into production, so I don't need nothing to fancy, but don't want any junk either.
