Thanks for all the info guys. I'm gonna go with the kW 6 stripper, then kW 5.5 and 4.5 tlsg runners. I've never done a locking wrap but I've been watching videos so I'll give it a try.

Garry, ive looked at the microwave guides and even though they seem like they could improve performance, I hate the way they look and that they will add extra weight to my rod. For those reasons I could never use them.

thanks for the info guys. Do I really need to use a size 10 double foot? That seems awful big? Currently I use TLNSG #8 then #6 to size 5 running guides with good performance. I was hoping to lose some weight and gain better performance and go with KW #6 to #5.5 then 4.5 running guides.. Has anyone built with this setup or done any test casting with it?
Also, do the 4.5's require a forhan lock

37. Guide placement?
When using the KW guides is there any reason I should start with a KW6J then go to KW5.5J? Or could I just use 2, 5.5's, or 1 or whatever? Running guides will be 4.5J or 5J fly guides. This will be for a 6'6" medium power fast action bass casting rod. Using Abu Garcia revo premier baitcasting reel.
Also, Any thoughts on how far from the front of the baitcasting reel the first KW guide sh

Thanks for all the responses. Jim, I don't see any of the titanium KW's in a 5J? When using the KW guides is there any reason I should start with a KW6J then go to KW5.5J? If anyone has built on this blank please let me know what you used it for and how you find the actual power/action. In my past experience with Lamiglas XMG blanks blanks I found that the line /lure weight ratings can be deceptive. Im looking to build a nice lightweight spinning rod Preferable mediumish power and relatively fast action used for swimming 1/4oz grubs and shaky heads. Need to have en

Wondering if anyone has experience with the Fuji TLSCG double foot low profile guides (dont have to be the titanium version). I like the idea of the lower profile of these better than the standard TLNSG, guides.
let me know any weight differences between the two, and your thoughts about these lower profile guides for conventional casting rod build (guides on top). Will probably use 4.5 running

I felt one of the k2's for the first time at the expo this weekend. I like the bottom design (carbon fiber'ish). But the rest of the blank to the tip felt really odd, like it had flaps of graphite facing downward so when I slid my fingers up the blank it kinda grabbed my fingers. If I slid my fingers down the blank it wasn't as grabby but you could still feel the "flaps".
