sorry guys. I feel really stupid. Where the seat ends and the cork foregrip starts they do not line up If you look from the back (butt end) to the tip of the rod you see the seat is skewed to the right . The foregrip and seat are flush but off center of each other Both the cork and handle need to be removed, if at all possible

Well I searched the board and did not find the topic in question. I must be the only guy that expoxied the real seat ( Alps) and forgot to center it. Is there a way I can get it off and save the rod and seat? I looked at YouTube and did not find the answer I also need to remove the cork handle. I tried my electric hot gun to warm up the seat but nada. 2nd question. Can you use a spray paint li

Kind of a twist on the finish question . I finished marbling a 9 ft crappie rod. I had it rotating but when I left the room and came back the the rod stopped and I had numerous spots of paint clumps. I used an electric heat gun to try to smooth the paint. I still have many left after it fully dried. What is the best way to remove them? heat,, sandpaper, any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks Tom, Sorry for such a basic question. Do you have any thoughts of how I may be able to learn the art of building? I am watching Youtube and it really helps. I would like to take a class but want to take the right one. I live in Wisconsin/ Illinois border. Any suggestions would be appreciated Dave

Hi Again, Y es I am the newbie and will try to listen and read more than I post. I have a Matrix 8 wt 5 pc 9 foot Rod Building Blank AMF 908-5 WF 8. ICan I make a spinning rod out o f this blank for panfish or small bass? Any suggestions? Thanks
