Kind of a twist on the finish question . I finished marbling a 9 ft crappie rod. I had it rotating but when I left the room and came back the the rod stopped and I had numerous spots of paint clumps. I used an electric heat gun to try to smooth the paint. I still have many left after it fully dried.
What is the best way to remove them? heat,, sandpaper, any suggestions would be appreciated Re: Tacky/sticky finish/ clumps

Strip the finish and redo the rod and then you will have a perfect rod.

Roger, what method would you use to strip the rod? Chemical, sand paper? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
