Does anyone know of a formula for rod components sizing? Say if butt diameter is .508 and I want to add winding checks 2,5 and 10 inches up the blank.

Just curious on opinions on the pipe style reel seats as for comfort reasons. I'm looking to do a minimalist look and weight also. Thanks in advance.

I built a 6'9 ml mag bass that I use for shaky head and wacky worm. I love it. I put it between the Rx8 and Revelation made by Rainshadow .

On lighter freshwater bass rods, I was wondering how many people put a decorative butt wrap. I always try to keep mine as light as possible and only did one on a moving bait rod (crankbait). I know a rod it's at it's most sensitive state when it's a bare blank. I was just wondering when putting say a 6_8"inch wrap how much am I taking away from sensitivity?

I have a Rainshadow 7' Rx7 crankbait blank that I am considering doing a spiral wrap. I've done a bunch of spiral wraps but it's usually on tip up presentation type rods. It's there any advantage to spiral wrap a crankbait rod?

I'm starting to guess with the roll out of new product in the summer perhaps a new website will be done. This is purely a guess.

Curious myself.

I have built six Revelation rods in the last 6 months they are pretty much in the middle of Rx8 and 7. Basically I was told its like a Rx7 trimmed off all the fat. Personally I like them.

I'm actually looking at the 802.75 for that reason in the Rx8. More in the tail end. I have a 822.5 in the Rev that I built and frankly is a better DS rod than a shaky or wack

Im looking into a couple different blank options for my jext shaky head rod build and was hoping to get some opinions. I was looking at annRainshadow Rx8 822.75 or something in Phenix or Lamiglass. All within the 3 power range. This rod will have either Tidal Wave Guides or Alps titanium spinning guides. Thanks in advance

Has anyone built anything using both blanks? I've only used the Rev blanks. Don't know if I'm missing out on the Rx7. And I also have used rxi

58. finish question.
Yesterday I finished a rod with underwraps. I used a lite build (TM_lite) to soak into the thread of my Ncp under and over wraps. My question is should I continue with using lite build with my additional coats or should I step up to a high build? I also do a blend of even parts of Tm-lite and reg that gives a viscosity of Prokote. This rod is a saltwater medium.

Being new to the craft can someone explain to me the measurement on what they mean and how you obtain them?

I have good size hands and I used the Alps split seat in both spinning and casting and find them comfortable. I don't like the fuji sk reel seats though. I find that void is uncomfortable in the spinning version.
