press the reel axle firmly against the table edge (with the reel mounted on the rod ) then the reel will pull the blank to the intersection point (choking point)

you can see how adding 1mm in the N end of the reel foot will be equivalent to adding 3mm on B value of the GPS (M point is the tip of the upsweep angle). N is the front end of the reel foot.

If you want a great walleye rod, rivaled only by the NRX from Loomis , you should take the NFC SJ 732 XRay. It is my Walleye rod , and even if it is rated 1/8-3/8 you can use jigs up 5/8 with it.
