Comes a point the blank has to lock up in power. I feel croix accomplishes that. Not sure about the mhx and i do like their blanks. I agree though i did have a factory rod in the past that was as you said. I feel the blank just never locked up and just wanted to keep giving.

Looking into a casting rod build for strictly 1/4oz cranks. I just built 2 bushido 78 1/4-3/4 blanks and their awesome but 1/4oz cranks are a bit much for this blank or i should say just slightly not enough. The bushido is awesome by the way and i highly recommend it. So far ive been considering croixs 7'mm though i have no experience with this blank and some mlf spinning blanks. The only pro

Any recommendations for a jerkbaits blank through them? I was eyeing the spinnerbaits blanks for tossing 110s and pointers. The weight is a lot nicer than the xf mhx blanks I was originally looking at.

First rod build read all the info on applying decals but fixative didn't seem necessary. However after applying a first coat of finish and letting dry for 24hrs I applied the mhx decal that came with the blank. I used backing to hold and remove decal it went on great. Maybe I should of waited and let the decal stick for a while but I went right ahead and added my second coat of finish. By the tim

Thanks for the quick reply and info. As stated I just stumbled across this blank I'm open to other suggestions. I'm a croix guy but lately feel the rods are not giving me the feel they use to. I've looked at the 7'6 ml and m croix models as well but never owned either except a 7'm scv and a 7'm legend tournament factory rod.
