Billy, I get good smooth results from metal band saw blade. Don't think it is 1/2" wide but fine 18 teeth. Have done ellipticals and random grips with gd results.

Similar process wipe off excess pour enough brush cleaner into an old rx container to cover brush. Leave it until needed. Wipe off cleaner and go. Good brushes or throw away works good. brush cleaner doesn't evaporate.

I have met Archie in Rochester Mn. Makes some great handles. Good to see he can help the GATHERING, just a state of mind. Will see him in April in MN. Great ICRBE in HP. The HNIC was outstanding as usual.

I have also used masking tape as Tom said as a shim for a snug fit. Good epoxy and has held up well.

Have done some searches and watched some you tube. So my question is doing an area above fore grip. Do you get more depth doing some colors let them dry. Then finish with others or all colors at same time. My first attempt so I'm all in. Thanks

Yes, if you are doing a solid color. But if you are doing any design, eliptical, random, etc it is better gluing a solid block then drilling. My .02

Had the same thing happen to me. Wrapped pac bay and gudebrod and fishawk side by side same tension. Pac bay got like a bag of worms. Gave it all away. The only thing I'll use is black with no color preserver. Rep from pac bay couln't understand why-neither could I.

I agree with Ken about the rubber at the end of syringe. The 3mm of unnamed brand if you drill a 5/32 hole in top of bottle the syringe will be nice and snug. Any one you buy I would practice on a coke cap to get the best fit..

John and Tom I respect your opinioins greatly. But A rod builder in Rochester MN uses classic coat on handles and fore grip exclusivley. On red cedar and butternut. Now He gave me some wood and I have been turning striper plugs. Now They have to be sealed with boiled linseed oil, mineral spirits 60/40. Left week to dry. 2 coats of classic coat turned out nice. Place pics on misc. board. They have

As a sidebar to this thread. Jeremy tou are right on with comment.Secondly If you want to mix a high build with lite same brand. Maybe for better coverage and pot life. Mix the same amount of resin and hardener of each and it will work. Cross matching brands I think you are looking for trouble-Bill

Great blank and product. Have seen that blank very powerful. Have built the one under 956 spiral wrap and very happy. Stopped 30lb striper not a problem. Great product for the $.

I'll go back to my orig post. That swb 956 which is 7'11" or stiffer swb957 also 7'11" would work fine

Have 2 MHXswb956 for stripers. Rod worked well stopping 30lber. Iwould not be afraid to use it for cats. Fast action with plenty of backbone. The other cat rod would be the same rod in a 7 power which would be stiffer. Good value for the $

I o nly knew Rich from a couple ICRBES. But one word comes to mind GENTLEMAN. He was a gentle man, wiling to do anything for NERBS and family. His suburban was always packed to the roof with booth items for H.P. He really exemplifies what NERBS are about caring and sharing. My thoughts and prayers go out to family. He will be in my prayers. +2 for the Irwin bits. Use then for wood and eva. If you go slow you shouldn't have to flip the blank

I ve always had problems with pulling the tag end through and screwing it up. So now I do what i think explained. Put pull loop about 10 wraps cut main thread -thru loop and have the t ag end in one hand and pull loop in other. Now snug the tag end so it won't go under. Cut as close as possible. Now pull loop. Almost foolproof. lol
