An assistant manager at the WM said kids were huffing epoxy. How desperate can one get? we all know that is a waste of time. I guess it's just more AZ weirdness. I will ask more questions

About a month ago when trying to buy some 5 min epoxy at WM i got carded (I am 52). Have the formulas changed? It still has nothing in it bad, right. If not why don't they card you when you buy an item that has peanuts, as there are more people with peanut alergies than resen and amine alergies. When I asked, a manager said people are buying it to huff. I say, so what, it will not alter your

Artie used to bring in samples of his work to the local "build it yourself" shop. Great craftsman. I barely have the patience for a simple weave.

I don't have this problem with my DC gear reduction motors. I just flip a switch to change directions, change voltage to change speed

I had a conversation earlier this year with a rodbuilder who claimed to have worked with FlexCoat on the development of the Lite formula. According to him, the only difference is the addition of a solvent (butyl alcohol) to thin components.

Tom, add me to the list of people pouring on the accolades.
Back on the other sold out artical topic, is there a system of protection developed yet like DRM for music for electronic print media(e-book) that meets your needs?

I know ozidizers are not as common in this hobby, but do not dry/store/dispose solvent rags and oxidizer rags together. That is just a fire waiting to happen spontaneously.

I believe it has to do with the summer water temps. The guides do not make this stipulation in the winter.

Some e-mail clients use a white list. I have mainly seen it on corporate accts. It still is a pain in the tookus. The free web-mail services offer a solution to those who have no choice. Just pick one that offers a good key word list filtering technique to eleminate the spam while letting good e-mail through.

I pack with a hard plastic tool similar to a dental pick, used in the high vacuum industry for o-ring removal, along with the standard thread tool.

I like the system, but, Dr. Hannemen says there is nothing subjective about CCS. I say there is, his definition. Where did the 30% flex come from and its penny-weight corelation to line weight? This has bothered me the whole time.
As far as taking it to the massses, remember the resistance from the FAOL board? However I think most of the nay-sayers there came from the artical saying "lo

20. Re: Cork Part 2
I am a low-volume rod-builder, averaged about 2 rods a year over the past 12 years. The only way to get good cork is to buy the BEST offered, and order at least 25% more rings than needed, and then make your project cork selection. With 1/4" rings. most pits will be visable with the reduced thickness.
I drove the 100 miles to SA to get rings from, and meet Andy Dear this past week, on

I have been sanding what my supplier calls "bleach" to keep from getting white glue lines. Now I have dark glue lines. If I use regular rings again, they will be washed. Trying Andy's stuff next week.

There is a guy down under, Tony Young, that makes seat hardware out of marine Silicon Bronze. Looks AWESOME on a cane rod! He changed hosts and I think moved and dont know how to find him.

Sending out an insert to be stabilized has a ninimum charge of $36, +postage. The above wood hardener cost me ~$8. I put a valve on a jar lid, used a venturi (soaping atachment) on a friends air compressor to create my vacuum. Looks good to me. The Ketones/solvent did eat my seal on the jar. IMHO, it's still better than a non-stabilized insert., only time will tell.

Christian, I just paid $9 for a pint of wood hardener. I do not have the equpment to make my own seats, so there is no volume. With a minimum order of $36 to have wood stabilized, it's a no brainer, and I get to make a new tool. :-)

The thread a couple of weeks ago on "canning" an insert in wood hardener has intrigued me ever since. Mainly because I have a Struble B E Mable missing some varnish and has water damage, All my stabilized inserts remain perfect. I understand the safety issues in heating flamable products and I don't want to shuttle boiling water either.
Probably not many rodbuilders have a vacuum p

27. Re: cork ?'s
In regard to the degrading quality of cork, if the crash ratings for cars was done the way cork is, I can see this scenario:
"We give this vehicle a 5-star rating this year. 2 years ago it would be a 3-star, but it is the best this year"
I certainly hope a universal grading system gets adopted.
The current sliding scale for cork stinks.
