2. Crappie Rod
Good morning.
Wondering what you guys would recommend for a crappie jigging blank in the St. Croix line.. Mainly jigging up to 1/4 oz. jigs in 30 feet of water. Would I want a moderate action balnk due to their paper-mouths? Graphite vs. glass?
Thanks for your help

Ken,
Thanks for responding. The size tips that I am looking at are 0.35mm and 0.5mm.
Limited color selection is a problem as the tips are too small for silver and gold, as they have particles of mica in the ink.

4. Inscriptions
Anyone use a Rapidograph pen for your inscriptions? If so, what size tip? Does it work better than a dip pen?

5. rod repair
I have a St. Croix SCV 66MLF that broke cleanly 6 inches from the tip. A friend has suggested Rod Bonding an inner plug made from a solid graphite ice rod and wrapping over the repair. The area in question sees little flex, and I would use a 2 inch plug. Any advise?
Thanks,
Bob

What are the advantages of a Tennessee handle over a standard spinning handle and seat?

There are also pictures on St. Croix's website of their spring bobbers. To attach them to the rod you would tie a fly guide near the tip of your rod and insert an appropriately-sized rubber grommet into the fly guide. The St. Croix spring bobber fits snugly in the rubber grommet. The spring bobbers are available from Cabela's by mail order for about $6.00 each. They come in 3 diferent strenghts.

The double amputee might benefit from an electric reel. I knew an avid fisherman who had a hemorrhagic stroke at a young age which left him with very limited mobility in his right arm. With an electric reel and help getting into the boat, he was fairly independent.
