Hi Folks,
I hope all is well.
Had a great morning with the bass and blues out on the kayak. I built a 7ft med fast spinner from a blem blank I got from someone here a few years ago. Didn't come with any manufacturer info but I'm suspecting rainshadow. It' became my primary spinner...great rod! Now I'm looking for another blank for my personal use. Hi All,
I'm having a real hard time finding a fighting butt for my TRI-AH12MTR triangle fighting butt by ALPS. Please let me know if anyone has experience with a fighting butt either removable or permanent for this reel seat ( ID .515 in.) This is for a 9ft 9wt saltwater FLY rod.
Many Thanks!!

From my understanding and experience in the keys it makes getting your hand on the fish much easier. i had grip the fly rod way up high to try and bring the catch close to the kayak. personally i just find it awkward. Also i can move with the fish so distance is no longer a primary factor so i can get by using a shorter rod. This is just me. Everyone has has their own way..

Hi folks,
I've been scouring the web for a 7'10" 8 or 9wt fly rod blank with no luck at all. I have a client that will be using it from his kayak for blues and striped bass. The closest manufactured rod would be the reddington predator 7'10" 8wt.
I would be grateful if anyone knows where I can find this length blank OR could a 9ft blank be cut down to that length??
Thank you fo

Hey that's the same reel I'm using on it. Thanks for thoughts! I'm thinking about going with the cobolt tri on the eternity2 blank, or black.

Thank you for your thoughts. I've been eyeing the Alps Triangle. I hope it mates well with my Battenkill.

Hi everyone,
im building another 9ft 9wt salt water fly rod. This ones for me. I like the look of the vented fly reel seats from Alps but there seems to be some reel wobble with those according to some reviews here. I was hoping some folks could share their experience using vented seats and which ones they like best. Ideally I'd like it be on the light side.
Many Thanks!!

please let me know where i might find a suitable replacement tip section.
i'm going down to N.C. in 2 weeks and was hoping to bring that 3pc(now a 4 piece).
many thanks in advance.
