I just started building rod 4 months ago and I just finished my first one. I have a St.croix ML 6'6" spin blank that was given to me by a friend. The thought came to me to use the spin blank and make it into a cast rod. What are the different bewteen spin and cast blank and will this turn out ok? Thank you.

Would having a balance rod with added weights be better than a rod that is built as light as possible but not balance? Which one would create the least fatigue during a long fishing day?

I notice on your website that you don't have the price for the casting blanks. How much would it cost for a 6'6" 8-17lbs. extra fast taper series Elite tournament? Can I also customize the lenght of the rod through you or do I half to do through CTS and How much is the extra cost for the customization? thanks a bunch.

I'm planning on stripping all my guides on a St.Croix premier and putting better ones on. Is there a way I can remove the old tip and replace it?

Hello I'm new to this board and robuilding. This hobby seem very addicted just like fishing. I figure this hobby can keep me sane during the winter. I planning on building my first rod on a UL St. croix 5' Avid spin blank(butt diameter .285). This will be use mainly for vertical presentations for perch and crappy. Guides of my choice would be American tackle titan titanium. I figure 1 1
