Has anyone ever had any experiences with these guides? I'm planing on building a 6' UL rod for perch and I found some sets that will save some money at japantackle.com and scroll down to rod building components also how do I put on a url? Thank you.

Haven't used them, but they do look very nice and unique. You mention perch fishing, so leaders and such are not so much of an issue, and you'll be using relly thin line. In that case, those guide sets should be fine. If you were using stronger leaders of any sort, and you had knots to pass through guides, I'd say the size 5's wouldn't be a good idea, and woul recommend 6's right out to the tip. I'm gonna try out these guides at some point (when I'm rich enough).
