I'm planning on stripping all my guides on a St.Croix premier and putting better ones on. Is there a way I can remove the old tip and replace it? Re: Rod tip

Tie a line to the tip and evenly, slowly heat with a lighter while you put a small amount of tension on the tip put no more heat here than necessary to remove the tip. The glue used is a form of hot glue stick. I wouldn't use mono. Some have used a rubberband as a tensioning device. Re: Rod tip

Just heat it a little with a lighter and pull straight off with a pair of needle nose plieres. Re: Rod tip
