Need a read out on exactly how tough they are before I sink the dinero into one. Has anyone really humped one of the heavy surf blanks? Re: Who has put an Outcast to the test?

The Outcast rods were introduced to the Point at Cape Hatteras by Tres Irby of Hatteras Outfitters. He is haveing one of the lighter blanks built into a Hatteras heaver for 8+bait. He's taking the 13'6" blank(GSC1625-2C) and cutting 12" off to make a 12'6" final rod. The rod is supposed to be very sensitive and rated to throw 4-12oz. They have been used to catch a number of 40-50 lb. red drum this spring at the Point. There's no telling what the heavier blanks are capable of. A very unusual outer finish which changes color depending on how the light hits it. Re: Who has put an Outcast to the test?

I have tried one of the 9' plugging models and like it very much. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
