The Outcast rods were introduced to the Point at Cape Hatteras by Tres Irby of Hatteras Outfitters. He is haveing one of the lighter blanks built into a Hatteras heaver for 8+bait. He's taking the 13'6" blank(GSC1625-2C) and cutting 12" off to make a 12'6" final rod. The rod is supposed to be very sensitive and rated to throw 4-12oz. They have been used to catch a number of 40-50 lb. red drum this spring at the Point. There's no telling what the heavier blanks are capable of. A very unusual outer finish which changes color depending on how the light hits it.
