heating grip to turn?

Would it be feasible or possible to heat the reel seat and grip to turn about 3/16 of an inch?
it cast the same as an identical one, but me just looking at it is irritating. thank you. john duncan Re: heating grip to turn?

Depends on what you used to adhere those pieces to the blank with. If you used hot melt glue, you might pull it off. If you used epoxy, once you break the bond, that's it. The bond is broken. And... the amount of heat required to break a good epoxy bond is often enough to damage the rod blank.
