I have no experience with Echo but have used a Lamson Guru, series ! I think, in salt for a few years now and have had no problems whatsoever. It looks and works like new. They are so simple it's scary, but they work.

My Lamson Litespeeds are 25+ years old and still going strong, worth every cent many times over. From what I understand they all have the same drag system, no matter the price point. Re: Echo fly reels vs. Lamson

Lamson. They use the same sealed drag on all their reels including the less expensive ones. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
