In the process of stripping a fenwick rod someone made. They had it as a fly rod but I'm sure this blank was originally a spinning rod. But I took off the eyes and all the old wraps yet I have some residue of some sorts where the old wraps were and I tired getting some off and I got a little but now I lost the shine of the original rod and was wondering if there is something I could coat the rod with to restore the luster of it? Thanks in advance! Re: Fixing up a old fenwick

Permagloss. Use the makeup sponges to apply it and let it stand to dry. It is pretty good stuff but it needs to be done in an area with good ventilation. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
