I have some U40 Epoxy Paste about 5 yrs old that I discovered. The hardener has a slightly darker amber appearance than the new paste I just acquired. I mixed a batch of this and it cured fine. My question is there a shelf life on this product, will it not perform the same as the newer batch that I have or should I just throw it out? Re: U40

As I understand it, epoxy has no shelf life and it should be fine. Re: U40

no shelf , life but one will get yellow / amber, with age, just like it will on the rod . normal , as I see it , if the color bothers you don't use it , but the amber one will hold just like the new epoxy will do , William Sidney AK Re: U40

As it is the adhesive and not the wrap epoxy, the yellowing is not an issue, and it will be fine. A word you have used in your post has been banned from use. Please use a different word or contact the forum administrators.
