I've never painted a rod before and am wondering which paint is best to do it?
The rod I'm rebuilding is a very old (45 years) 6'-9" fiberglass rod I bought years ago for mainly Bluefishing Bunker (Manhaden) cut bait on a boat. I'm in the process of using a citrus paint/varnish remover (per this forum) and am amazed how easy the citrus remover works, doesn't stink up the whole neighborhood and does a great job! The rod also has a wood handle and foregrip which I intend to refinish. Is there a preference as to what to use as a finish on wood handles and foregrips? Sorry for all the beginner questions but I think it's better to ask then to make mistakes! Thanks,,, Tom Kuzia Re: Rust-Oleum Ultra Cover 2x vs Krylon Fusion

If you want take a look at Dupli Color Auto paint in rattle cans I like this stuff Several types of primers The paint is not as thick as the ones you were looking at A lot of car builders use it Fast drying and hard And has clears Bill - willierods.com Re: Rust-Oleum Ultra Cover 2x vs Krylon Fusion

Tom on painting a blank I have used both an I prefer the 2X. Covers better and if applied properly gives a nice smooth finish. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
