Minima Guides - tough to beat - what do you think?

After trying other guides, I just have a hard time finding guides that beat the Minima's for light weight. What have you guys found?

Thanks - Marc

Keep it simple - that's all I can handle!

Recoils are lightest I've ever used.

2X Minimas! Too many complaints and objections regarding the noise of Recoils on Fly Rods. Fly fishers can be fussy.

I use minimas for Fly, surf casting, spin, casting, bottom fishing applications and have no complaints from customers. I used them on my personal rods as well and they are very durable. Can't beat the price. Great product. MH

My number one choice I use them exclusively.

I don't like them.
They are fine for summer conditions, though I find the taller frame spinning guides bend very easily.
In cold conditions they grab water and ice up much quicker than ceramic inserts.

I use them on ice rods 99% of the time...i've never had mine freeze up too badly but add little carnauba wax and they're good to go if you have issues. They stand up to quite a bit of abuse as well

I think they are a HECK of a lot better than Airwaves!!!!!!! I got a set of the airwaves and I have to say I thought they were the absolute cheapest stamped junk I have seen for a guide. Sorry American Tackle but you guys really flopped that one.

REC recoil guides are light, flexible, and nearly indestructible. The flexibility of Recoil snake guides allows the blank to flex more freely than more rigid guides.
Increased flexibility is seen as a major benefit by fly casters. In my experience the only "noisy" Recoil guides are the stripper guides, which are located where rod flexibility is not so much of an issue. I have built many "silent" fly rods using ceramic insert stripper guides and Recoil running guides.
