Be careful buying ones not offers for rod building as many contain silicone which can cause fisheyes in wrap coating.

If you use them correctly They will last years Yes Years Clean maybe once a year
So pick up several sets for extra 's And don't worry about them

A sticky syringe is a no-no in meficine, so almost all medical syringes are silconized during production to reduce fiction when filling and injecting and this also prevents loss of material. Since silicone in epoxy is a no-no for rodbuilders, medical syringes should be avoided. Use only those syringes designed for measuring epoxy, which are sold by many of the suppliers to the left. I also do not like the epoxy syringes with a rubber plunger tip. These tips routinely pop off the plunger and when they get old they start to break down. The syringes with the all plastic plunger will last for years, so you do not need to replace them very often making them very cost effective.

You can go to your local pharmacy store and ask for silicon free syringes. These do not have the silicon gasket they we are afraid of.

Even if you get the syringes with the black silicon coated rubber plunger, don't worry, all you have to do is clean them with DNA. Dip the rubber in the DNA and wipe it off then suck up some DNA in the syringe and flush it out and you will be good to go. I have used them for nearly 40 years with no problems.

Randolph have you ever had the rubber gasket come off when filling the syringes ??? that is why I stopped using them
it is a mess to clean up I think
