Just thought I'd share a couple groundbreaking tips for rodbuilding that I stumbled across last month.
1. When eating sunflower seeds, the best and most functional way to get rid of the shells while building rods is by using a shopvac. If you hold the vac next to, but not touching, your mouth the shells are magically whisked away. No mess, no spittoon. 2. In order to keep the markings on syringes that are used for epoxy, take just a little epoxy left over from a batch and cover the measuring marks. Obviously the epoxy keeps the writing and measurement marks from getting rubbed off. Enjoy! I realize this post is cheesy, but at very least I'm entertained. Joe,
Another thing to use for covering markings on syringes or bottles is clear packaging tape. I routinely date and mark all of the glue, finish and other types of materials when I purchase them. I then take a put a couple of layers of clear packaging tape on the container. Another thing for sunflower seeds, is to just keep a pair of squirrels in the room. Give them a sunflower seed now and then and they will take care of the mess. (wish, wish) Re: Important New Discoveries Made During the Holidays

I don't eat those seeds but I spray my syringes with fixitive or any lacquer clear after marking lasts a long time Bill - willierods.com Re: Important New Discoveries Made During the Holidays
