Can anyone suggest a 2-piece fiberglass or mixed graphite/glass blank I can use for 1/4 to 3/4 oz. crank baits? Every cranking blank I've seen so far is 1-piece.
Thanks! Re: Bass Crankbait Rod

If you can find a 2-piece popping blank in the material you want it should work pretty well for that application.

I did quite a bit of searching and wasn't able to come u with a blank that fits what you're looking for. If I was in your position, I would probably get a couple of Mudhole's CRB E-glass blanks and build a two-piece. They retail for around $20 so you wouldn't have much in them. I would think that the 7L or 7M would work well. Mudhole's tech support should be able to tell you if those particular blanks will work for what you need.
I haven't used the lighter blanks but I've built several of the heavier ones for trolling rods for muskies. Very nice blanks for the price. jeremy Re: Bass Crankbait Rod

I've never handled one, but Rainshadow has a RX6/E-Glass composite travel blank that is rated 1/4 - 3/4 with mod fast action, but it's 3 piece not 2.

We love the versatility of the rod blank as well as the combination of sensitivity and strength! We can fish everything with the rod blank. From Bass to Yellowtail! Now we are talking! :) Another great line we had, but discontinued, was our IP series.. All graphite though, but you might be able to still find the IP964F somewhere! R. Thanks for all your suggestions.
I just bought an old Fenwick 845 2-piece Fenglass rod on @#$%& that hopefully will do the trick. If I like the action I'll probably strip it down to the blank and rebuild it with modern and lighter components. Doug Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
