anodized blue or red fly rod guides

I just had a customer ask me if I could build a fly rod using either red or blue anodized guides. Anyone know if these even exist and if so where I might be able to locate some.

Thanks,

Jeff

PacBay has. See this link from a swedish website: [www.hilevel.se]
If you ask one of the sponsors, they might be able to help, if not in stock.

The red guides can only be used in freshwater if you can still find them.

I purchased some of these a couple of years ago because the client wanted them and found them, but I would not recommend them. The finish is very durable and comes off easily. Just my 2 pennies.

I thought anodizing was for aluminum? May be I am wrong?

Any steel can be anodized, whether it be just carbon or stainless

Although not exactly red, Pac Bay has introduced both their Minima and single foot fly guides in Ti Bronze. Just saw it in their new 2016 catalog and it looks pretty sharp.
