I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find a spool of Gudebrod twist, the black and green, in Size A. I checked with DONART, but they didn't have any. I have some, but I don't think there is enough on the spool to complete the job. Thanks. Re: Gudebrod thread

Dave , Need more info than just black and green. As space dyed, varigated... pine green, dark green and so on. Pictures would help also. Sorry I read so fast I missed the "twist" in your statement. Size A 50 yard spool enough? I'll check my bins. Dennis J. Danku (Sayreville,NJ) Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/17/2015 12:19AM by Dennis Danku. Re: Gudebrod thread

Dennis,
Thanks for the reply. I've never tried sending a photo on this site, but I'll give it a go at some point today. If the color is the same, I can probably make it happen with 50 yards. Foolishly, I discarded my Gudebrod catalogue a couple of years ago when I found out that they went out of business. I'll see if I can find one online for a reference to help clarify the color I need. Thanks! Dave Sytsma Re: Gudebrod thread

Dennis,
I forgot to mention that the description of "black and green" is because both of the labels on the spool are missing. Dave Sytsma Re: Gudebrod thread

Hello David.
In 2007 MudHole had "black/green" as a classic twist thread and the number was 5896, is that what you are looking for? I just checked my stock and no-go on the 5896. Good luck. Tight Wraps. Bob, New Bern, NC. Re: Gudebrod thread

David,
I have a stock of Trimar in eight colors. Green black is available. Send me your mailing info and I will send you a one foot sample (via snail mail). Don <edit> It is not Gudebrod Trimar. Don Becker Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/17/2015 01:57PM by Donald Becker. Re: Gudebrod thread

The thread I'm looking for is Gudebrod #521 Classic Twist size A, but frankly, I'll take any diameter because this stuff is really scarce. I looked all over @#$%& and nobody there has any. I've got a good photo of the partial spool I have, but am having trouble figuring out how to post it on this site (Okay, I'm a senior citizen of Dutch lineage, so cut me a little slack). Don Becker, you are correct. It is NOT Trimar. If I discern how to get the photo on here, it surely will be beneficial. Re: Gudebrod thread

I may have some stashed. I can't remember if I have green/black or not. I know I have a bunch of black/white but I'm sitting at work dealing with St Patrick's day crowd so I'm distracted. I'll try to look when I get home. Re: Gudebrod thread

Hi David,
521 = 100 yard spool 524 = 1 ounce spool 519 = 4 ounce spool The black/green that I have may be what you are trying to find. Don Don Becker Re: Gudebrod thread

Sounds like the stuff, Don. The product number is right. I got the 521 number off four other spools of the twist I have; the only difference was the color number( the black/orange twist was color 221) . Is the 524 a size A, only in a bigger spool? Re: Gudebrod thread

Hi David,
The following are only spool size designations. 521 = 100 yard spool 524 = 1 ounce spool 519 = 4 ounce spool It is my understanding that they could be for any size or type of thread. <edit> The Gudebrod catalog lists 524 as being a Pro spool. Also listed is Trimar as being in gold tone and silver tone in size C. My green/black is listed as a metallic and is size D. Don Becker Edited 2 time(s). I'm still in the hunt. I just called Bingham Enterprises as Eric suggested. It was the stuff I needed, but somebody called 45 minutes ago and bought it all. Close, but no cigar. Re: Gudebrod thread

Bill,
I'm having fun, I'm motivated, and have the time. It's a winning combination. What's not to like? Sell me that spool you have and I'll let this thread die. Re: Gudebrod thread
