Spinning rod: alluminium butt section

Someone ever made a spinning rod in two pieces using an aluminum tube for part of the butt section, on the idea of the old series Lamiglas Titanium?

You can use a Slim Slick butt and a Ferrulled reel seat. Get bit has the skick butt. Slim slick is 20.47 MM inside and and 28.78 OD at its widest and 12" long I believe they also come 10" and 8" but you will need to check with them

There would be no real advantage to this unless you were attempting to lengthen a blank that you could otherwise acquire in the length you wanted.
