question about lumiseal/polyureathane

I used lumiseal for the first time and like the way it came out. when I wrapped my guide, I didnrt like the way it came out so i re did it. when i took it off i can see where the thread imbedded into the lumiseal. is this normal? i thought it hardens totally. it has been drying for a couple weeks. does polyurethane do the same? i want to try poly on my next rod. does it crack when the rod bends? thanks

A little more explanation is needed here. Are you talking about coating an under wrap, the wrapping a guide?

I know Permagloss will leave thread marks so I assume Lumiseal will also. In my experience they will not cure as hard as a factory finish.

Greg, I am assuming you coated the blank with the Lumiseal and now you are seeing impressions in that coating after removing some wraps that were over the coating. If this is correct, I'm wondering if the Lumiseal was applied too thickly?

Threads will dig into factory finish also. Flexible finish cannot be rock hard. Possible your tension was too high. To me it won't be a concern.
