What could you use to make a two piece rod out of a broke one?

Better to repair the broken rod keeping it a one piece rod using the link above from Mike Quinn. I've repaired a number of rods with that guidance and they perform very well. They also are easy on the eye. You don't even notice the repair when fishing them.
