eva painting

I'm somewhat new to rod building. Can the EVA foam handles be painted? I normally use cork up to now, but I see EVA handles with colors to buy.

EVA foam is the most likely to compress and crack a paint job on its surface. Harder grip materials are better suited to decorative painting.

The colored EVA grips you see have the color molded in. They're not painted.

Thanks for the reply. I guess the colors are added when they mold them. Some are rather different.

Take a look at Billy Vivona's EVA photos on the photo pages for grips. He does some amazing work with EVA
