I've just had 2 Microwave running guides loose their rings on 1 of my own rods that has been never trodden on caught on a door frame or in a car door .1 dropped out while it was being wrapped & the other on its first outing at the beach .Has anyone else experienced any problems with these guides or is my problem just an aberration. I have had 2 customer rods where the ring came out on the running guides. One on each rod. I have put those guides on 4 or 5 rods now since the last Expo. I do not use them on most of my rods though, so I am not concerned. I only use them when requested specifically. I use Kigan High frame guides, which are the same height as Fuji's KL-H guides. I have not had any failures with those and I have them on over 20 rods. David Dosser Coshocton, OH Re: Microwave running guide problem

I have installed close to 100 sets without a single failure. Contact ATC they will make it right! ______________________________________ Super Tight Lines......Don Re: Microwave running guide problem

Thanks David .
Don I'm not fussed about pointing blame anywhere .I was wondering if this was a large or insignificant problem .I have installed around 30 sets & this is a first for me . Regards Baz Bundeena NSW Australia Re: Microwave running guide problem

I wasn't claiming that you were placing blame, just letting you know I have had no issues ;) ______________________________________ Super Tight Lines......Don Re: Microwave running guide problem

Sorry Don "blame" was a poor choice of word by me all I am trying to do is find out how large or small the problem is .At the moment it is negligible & I wouldn't bother ATC with it . Regards Baz Bundeena NSW Australia Re: Microwave running guide problem

Barry; you might want to send the defective guides back to ATC for there rR & D to take a look at. Might help improve a potential problem. Corky Corky's Custom Rods Savannah, Georgia Re: Microwave running guide problem

Thanks Corky but I'm not sure it's a big enough problem to go through hassle & expense for what has turned out to be a minuscule problem .There has been 300 + views with only 1 other reporting .
I personally don't think it's a manufacturing problem it's more likely damage that has happened during transport or handling somewhere. I think if it was a manufacturing problem there would have been a far greater number of failures. Regards Baz Bundeena NSW Australia Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
