Fiberglass blank 7' 2 peice

Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can get a Fiberglass blank in 7' 2 peice, in either 4-8lb or 6-10lb or something similar.

This is for a 13yr girl, hence the fiberglas blank - extra insurane from constantly dropping it and high sticking.

I was recommend the MHX P842-2, or the AMTAK Matrix blank in similar specs, but my concern is the user of the rod to damage it easily.

Any other blank recommendations are welcome.

This is purely an estuary rod, for bait fishing to catch fish in the 1-4lb range on average.

Thanks,

Richard

Lamiglas and Seeker both make fiberglass rod blanks. I assume at least some of those models are available in 2-pieces.

Richard,
Angler's Workshop (one of the sponsors listed on the left) carries both Lamiglas and seeker blanks and you can download their catalog on-line. You might contact them via e-mail or by phone and ask them what they have. They are very good folks and very helpful. Good luck with your project.

Sincerely,
Mike Blomme

Jann's fiberglass blanks are durable. No 7 footer available, but here's a 6'6" 2pc model in the range you seek...

G'Day Richard give Ross at Rodworks a ring & ask him about the Excel Composite range of blanks .I'm pretty sure they make glass blanks or a mixture of glass & carbon

Seeker SP 703-S S-glass blanks. Angler's Workshop has some of the FSP704EB, 2 piece, 6 to 12 lb. test, 1/4 to 5/8 oz. discontinued blanks ( went to S-Glass) for half off.
