I have a rod project that requires a very clean edge - ie: no bleedover, no waviness with the permagloss edge. Can I use masking or electrical tape to mask and then peel the tape off once set? Re: Permagloss - Can I mask for an extremely edge?

Because PG is so thin it's likely to weep under any tape and create a ragged edge.

Not only what Tom said, it is likely to bond the leading edge of the tape to the blank. Re: Permagloss - Can I mask for an extremely edge?

Just apply the finish when the rod is spinning at about 50-100 rpm on your power wrapper. You will have a perfect edge every time.
