Permagloss - Can I mask for an extremely edge?

I have a rod project that requires a very clean edge - ie: no bleedover, no waviness with the permagloss edge. Can I use masking or electrical tape to mask and then peel the tape off once set?

Because PG is so thin it's likely to weep under any tape and create a ragged edge.

Not only what Tom said, it is likely to bond the leading edge of the tape to the blank.

Just apply the finish when the rod is spinning at about 50-100 rpm on your power wrapper. You will have a perfect edge every time.

Be safe

Then you also can use a Hand Rest to keep your hand steady
