Cat Maxx Guides

I need to replace a couple guides (the inserts popped out which seems very common on them) on a couple Cat Maxx Rods from Bass Pro.

I know they are Fuji's but I can't figure out which of the fuji's they are...

Almost all are their casting rods that I need to work on too.

If the ring is dark black in a black frame they are Aluminum Oxide then just need to figure out high or low frame. If the inserts are gray then Hardaloy. I’m pretty sure they don’t offer gold or chrome frames in Aluminum Oxide. So if they are gold or chrome you may want to look at the other manufactures.

If you are having trouble with most all of the guides
Why not pick up several sets of better guides and start replacing sets

It is not "common" for a Fuji ring to pop. Can you offer more info?

If you did not already take the guide off and see if it is stamped Fuji on it ????

I have 6 rods missing guide inserts and several rods are missing several inserts per rod. And I'm not the only one who's had inserts pop out with some pressure (usually riding in the back of a truck) and I like how they work and are balanced with these guides.

The info on the rods sales page says Fuji tip and the guides match. I haven't removed the guides yet, but I've never seen Fuji stamped on any that I've used from Fuji.

And thanks Sammy... that was really helpful. they are black inserts with a black frame. I think I found the right ones. I'm fairly certain they are BSVOG's from all that information (for anyone looking to repair them in the future)

Most frames from Fuji will have "Fuji" stamped on the frame in some area. Rings popping out is not a common occurrence, but riding in a truck bed is one of the worst places to travel with a rod. Vibration and knocking about: quite fortunate to only be dealing with damaged guides.
