It has been a while since the USG's were discontinued. What do you use instead?

A piece of rebar with a chain link welded on works as a great substitute.

Sorry Jay but that is a bit impractical......LOL. Hopefully, Fuji will come out with something heavier?
In the meantime, does anyone still have a set of USG's that I can buy from them? Billy?

Mel, I have a set of seven of them w/tip as well as the same in gold w/tips, but I am not sure I wish to part with them. Not really sure what to ask for them if I did decide to sell them.

Hi Mel,
Have a look at the Dbluefishing site on the left. They have a TUIDG-2 guide with SiC rings. They are super strong guides and I have used them a couple of times without a problem. I use their guides all the time and they are excellent value for money and not expensive.

Mel, Pac-Bay BBSG's have sic inserts and will do a great job as replacements. I use these guides on wire line bunkerspoon rods.
